Part I: Deciding What Lawyers (If Any) to Use

Remember that your healing wishes should be respected.

  1. Use your website work to choose a good attorney—and to guide that attorney.
  2. Consider “unbundling”—limiting attorney work to where it's needed.
  3. Find an attorney interseted in your best interests:
    • reconciliation possibilities
    • cooperation with your co-parent
    • limiting attorney time and fees
    • avoiding unnecessary conflict
